Beginnings by Richard Pousette-Dart

Richard Pousette-Dart is an American young abstract expressionist whose works transformed American art in the post-war years. Kettle’s Yard is the only public institution in the UK to hold works by Pousette-Dart in its permanent collection, and the exhibition will show a selection of these pieces alongside significant loans which have never been seen before in the UK. The exhibition is accompanied by a publication reflecting new research into the life and work of Richard Pousette- Dart and his significant contribution to American art in the 20th Century.
