Lightplan's most recent hotel project in 2007 was The Shelbourne Hotel, the first hotel in Dublin to replace gas lamps with electricity.

Working closely with Christina Fallah Designs on the ballroom, pre-function rooms and the famous Constitution Room, the brief was to incorporate grand scale and classical architectural elements in a modern finish and colour palette, with contemporary lighting features replacing traditional chandeliers. Lightplan's key criteria for the hotel was simplicity of use, energy saving, long lamp life and minimum maintenance.
